Cigdem Aygun is an Architect Advisor at Microsoft Canada in the Developer & Platform Evangelism group. She helps ISVs review their existing solution architecture and provides guidance on emerging technologies to help ISVs strategically align with Microsoft and plan for the future. On a technical level, her areas of interest include emerging application platform technologies, workflow, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Business Process Automation (BPA), Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Before joining Microsoft, she has worked as a developer and an architect specializing in alternative delivery channel projects for banking industry and she was a researcher at METU Software Research and Development Center where she had the opportunity to gain an in-depth expertise on the design and implementation of intelligent software agents for open marketplaces on heterogeneous platforms.
